Bounce Back League

Recognizing the impact of family violence on the brains and bodies of children and youth, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada developed and evaluated a trauma-informed sport program. The Bounce Back League created a safe, fun and empowering environment for sports activities designed to improve health outcomes and healing from trauma through skill building and supportive relationships. The project trained staff to create a trauma-informed, inclusive and safe culture throughout the organization. This project worked with children and youth at Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada to increase physical and mental health of members of Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) through trauma-informed sport programming.
