The Knowledge Hub connects and enhances trauma-informed health promotion projects funded through the Public Health Agency of Canada’s investment, “Supporting the Health of Victims of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse through Community Programs”.
The Knowledge Hub facilitates a Community of Practice of projects funded through the investment and facilitates knowledge exchange activities for and among the funded projects and Community of Practice members to:
- foster communication and continuity across the projects
- facilitate the identification of common indicators that could be tracked across sets of projects funded through the call for proposals to help assess the overall impact of the investment
- build (research) capacity in the area of trauma-informed health promotion across the life course including a focus on diverse communities;
- support the translation of knowledge produced by projects;
Projects are diverse in nature, representing communities and organizations from across Canada with a focus on child maltreatment and intimate partner violence.
